Native American Heritage Month
Native American Heritage month was established in 1996, by President Bill Clinton, who proclaimed November as the official month for the celebration. He urged all Americans alike to observe the month with commemoration, education, and awareness, so as to help each other fully understand the Native American Culture. Native American Month honors and recognizes the significant contributions the first Americans made to the establishment and growth of the U.S.

multicultural student organizations

MSA strives to coordinate services and programs that challenge, motivate, and support ethnically diverse students in their development at the University of Miami. We also seek to bring issues of diversity and multiculturalism to the foreground of campus conversation by sponsoring programs that celebrate cultural differences and highlight similarities that connect us to each other. We hope to engage in dialogue regarding issues of personal and collective notions of race, ethnicity, and culture; while providing a safe and supportive environment for students to freely share their thoughts.
