The purpose of Africa Students Union is to raise cultural awareness, diversity, and knowledge of the current issues that face Africa, provide insight, and address misconceptions about Africa. We are an organization that is dedicated to the education of support of African Culture by Africans and Non-Africans alike.

Asian American Student Association

The Asian American Students Association (AASA) at the University of Miami promotes the awareness of Asian culture and the Asian American identity. Our goal is to build unity and strengthen communication among Asian and Asian American students, while educating the University community about our cultures and traditions. We are a cultural and social group.

Carribean Students Association

The purpose of the Caribbean Students Association is to raise the level of awareness at the University of Miami and in the surrounding community of the cultural diversity of all Caribbean nations. CSA is more than just an organization as we are a family. We strive to encompass the unique traditions and cultures of the Caribbean countries. This is the thread that links us as people. In our diversity comes our commonality and we hope to educate our members and the greater University of Miami community about the melting pot we call our home. Lambda Theta Alpha Sorrority Inc.

Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Incorporated was founded at Kean University in Union, NJ in December of 1975 by 17 lovely ladies and was the first of fist kind. The organization was formed during a time when Latinos/Latinas were just coming into colleges and universities and were searching for a support group of peers that shared similar struggles. Here at the University of Miami the Beta Sigma Chapter was started on October 7, 2000 and again was the first of its kind at the university! UMiami LTAs have brought excellence to the classroom and the workforce and they continue to make strides at the University of Miami.

Multicultural Nursing Students Association

MNSA is for any student that has an interest in nursing and promoting awareness of health disparities as well as advocating for Nurses of all different backgrounds. Objectives: Unite students of all health professions in our common mission Enrich the academic and social experiences of nursing students at the University Provide an entity that address the specific needs of the multicultural nursing student Maintain a close relationship with our local state MSNA chapter Involve students in a variety of health promotion activities Increase health awareness among students and the general public Enhance the health care of minority communities and underserved individuals Facilitate access to health and social resources Increase the awareness of multicultural influences on health among students and general public

Sigma Lambda Gamma

Sigma Lambda Gamma strives to be the premier organization committed to providing a mechanism of empowerment to all women.

Through a network of close to 3,000 multicultural sisters from collegiate chapters and alumnae associations located across the United States, we promote academic excellence and higher education for all women via a dedication and incorporation of the sorority principles – Academics, Community Service, Cultural Awareness, Morals & Ethics, and Social Interaction – in our lives.

Recognizing our responsibility to the progression of a positive global community, we stress the importance of morals, ethics, and education in our daily lives so that we serve the needs of our neighbors through a mutual respect and understanding of our varying cultures.

Yellow Rose Society

The members of Yellow Rose Society recognize a need for cohesion amongst women at the University of Miami. By focusing on peer education, community outreach, academic achievement, and leadership, our organization intends to bring about this unity through the efforts of our members and the entire student population.
